Refund Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026 · v1.0

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for purchases made through PressPlay Studio. PressPlay is a platform; Creators are independent businesses who sell their own audio products on it. That structure shapes how refunds flow.

The short version. Each Creator sets and honors their own refund terms (shown on the offer page). Refunds are issued by the Creator through Stripe, and they appear back on the original payment method within 5–10 business days. PressPlay's baseline protection guarantees an honest minimum for every offer — see Platform baseline below.

1. How a refund happens

  1. Buyer contacts the Creator using the support contact published on the offer page or in the order-confirmation email.
  2. Creator approves the refund and issues it via their Stripe dashboard.
  3. Stripe returns the funds to the original payment method, typically in 5–10 business days.
  4. PressPlay automatically revokes the Buyer's access to the purchased content within 24 hours of the refund being issued (we sync from Stripe daily).

PressPlay does not hold the money — it flows from the Buyer's card to the Creator's Stripe account at the moment of purchase. That's why refunds come from the Creator through Stripe, not from PressPlay.

2. Platform baseline

Regardless of what an individual Creator publishes, PressPlay requires every offer sold on the platform to honor at minimum:

  • 30 days, no questions asked, for any product that turns out to be materially different from how it was described.
  • Full refund if the Buyer was charged but the content was never delivered (e.g. the access link never worked and the Creator failed to fix it within 7 days).
  • Full refund if the offer made unsubstantiated claims that violate consumer protection or advertising law (we will assist Stripe disputes here).
  • Reasonable response time — Creators must respond to refund requests within 5 business days. If they don't, contact PressPlay directly at hello@axiommedia.org and we'll help broker the resolution.

If a Creator violates the baseline, we may suspend their platform account and assist Buyers in opening a Stripe dispute. We cannot directly issue a refund from PressPlay's accounts because we never received the money.

3. Creator-published terms

Many Creators offer terms that exceed the platform baseline — for example, 60-day or 90-day guarantees, or "any reason at all" refunds. The Creator's published terms govern as long as they meet or exceed the baseline above.

Creators may not publish terms that fall below the baseline. If an offer page conflicts with this policy, the platform baseline applies.

4. What's typically not refundable

Creators may exclude refunds in narrow cases, including:

  • Refunds requested more than 30 days after purchase (or the longer window the Creator published).
  • Live events, coaching sessions, or other time-bound services after they've been delivered.
  • Refunds claimed in bad faith — for example, after consuming the majority of the content and then asking for a full refund on a serial basis (repeated across multiple Creators).
  • Fees charged by the Buyer's bank for currency conversion or chargeback fees the Buyer themselves caused.

Even in these cases, the Creator may grant a refund at their discretion and many do.

5. Chargebacks

If a Buyer initiates a chargeback with their card issuer instead of asking for a refund, the dispute is handled by Stripe and the Creator. PressPlay will revoke access to the purchased content if the chargeback is decided in the Buyer's favor. Repeat chargebacks across Creators may result in suspension of the Buyer's account.

6. Refunding subscriptions or recurring charges

PressPlay primarily supports one-time purchases for audio products. If a Creator runs a subscription separately and you want to cancel, contact that Creator directly. Subscription cancellations stop future charges; whether past charges are refundable depends on the Creator's published terms.

7. PressPlay Studio (platform) fees

Axiom Media LLC charges Creators directly for use of the PressPlay Studio platform. Those fees (if applicable to your plan) are separate from Creator-to-Buyer transactions.

  • Monthly or annual subscriptions are refundable on a pro-rata basis within 14 days of the start of a billing cycle if you cancel and have not made material use of paid features during that cycle.
  • One-time upgrades or add-ons are refundable within 14 days of purchase if you have not consumed the add-on's value (e.g. one-time AI credits that were already spent are not refundable).
  • To request a platform-fee refund, email hello@axiommedia.org from your account address.

8. Disputes

If you and the Creator can't resolve a refund request, and you believe the platform baseline applies, email hello@axiommedia.org with:

  • The Creator's name or page URL.
  • The date of purchase and the email used to buy.
  • What was promised vs. what was delivered.
  • What you've already asked the Creator and their response.

We respond within 5 business days. We won't take sides without the facts, but we will hold Creators to the baseline.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days before they take effect.
